Automotive
We are a trusted partner for Automotive OEMs for the design, delivery and integration of high performance HV battery packs on vehicles.
✵
Latest pack technology
Our battery packs use the latest materials, cells and CTP technology to achieve the best volumetric and gravimetric energy density, while lowering cost by simplifying and optimising the design. We have delivered battery packs from 18KWh to 130+KWh, and worked on solutions from 150V to 900V.
✵
Highest quality cells
We partner exclusively with leading global cell suppliers – among the global top 10 – who have a proven track record of quality and extensive experience in the EU and US markets. Cell type, format, and chemistry (including LFP, LMFP, and NCM/NCA) are carefully selected to align with each customer’s technical requirements and cost targets.
✵
High performance packs
Our battery packs are engineered to meet the highest standards, delivering fast charging capability and high discharge power in line with customer requirements. Every aspect of the pack design is rigorously reviewed and validated to ensure optimal performance and long-term durability.
How We Work
Process
01
Vehicle requirements
We analyse your needs and prepare initial battery proposals to meet your technical, timing and cost requirements. For new OEMs, we can help with system design, defining standards and requirements for battery, based on our experience on previous projects, industry & markets regulations.
02
Battery design and validation
After the proposal is accepted, we nominate the suppliers and finalise the detail design, release CAD/drawings, oversee soft/hard tooling for parts, prototype packs production, validation and certification testing. There will be constant communication and alignment with your team at each step, and support for any integration issue on prototype vehicles.
03
Mass production & Aftersales support
We confirm the setup of the pack production line. After validation & certification are completed, battery pack mass production will start. We will support to ensure successful vehicle SOP, and for Aftersales topics if required.
Frequently Asked Questions FAQ
How long does it take to develop a new battery pack?
A new custom battery pack design generally takes 12-18 months from nomination to battery pack SOP, depending on the specific project requirements. In certain cases, we have delivered programs in under 12 months for customers with accelerated timelines; however, this must be defined and agreed at the outset of the project.
What testing & certification are conducted?
The Design Validation (DV) and Production Validation (PV) will be agreed at the start of the project before nomination. Normally the validation will include performance, safety and durability tests following international standards such as ISO 19453-6, ISO 12405-4, UL2580, UN ECE R10/CISPR 25 (EMC), ECE r100, UN38.3, and specific customer test cases.
Where are the battery packs produced?
The vast majority of the battery packs we provide are assembled in China.
Can you help for low volume custom pack design and production?
Certainly, we are happy to support any project size. We also provide design review services if you already have your battery pack design, to ensure it is up to scratch and there is no potential failure point. You can find out more here.
Do your packs meet the requirement for EU market?
Yes, all the packs we provide are going to to meet EU regulations, including the EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542). We can also support you to understand what are the OEM new responsibilities under the EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542). You can find out more here.
