COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
We support the development of competitive battery packs for electric commercial vehicles.
Modular packs
We can help deliver and integrate a range of off-the-shelf modular solutions that are already validated and deployed in electric Bus and Trucks applications, including in the European market. These modules can be configured in multiple ways to meet most customer requirements.
Custom solutions
Where standard battery solutions cannot meet your technical, packaging, or performance requirements, we can help you developing a custom battery pack and delivering a solution optimised for your application.
Safety and reliability
The heavy duty battery packs for commercial vehicles are designed to meet the most stringent safety requirements. All packs are backed by a long-term warranty, ensuring reliable performance and durability in high-mileage applications
Selected projects
eBus – 800V LFP
VinFast electric buses are now a familiar sight in Hanoi and other major cities across Vietnam. Designed to meet European regulatory requirements, they could soon be seen on the streets of European cities as well.
JURA’s engineering director has worked with VinFast and leading battery suppliers such as Gotion and CATL to deliver and integrate the battery pack systems for several eBus variants.

Frequently Asked Questions FAQ
Can you take ownership of the full battery project for a commercial vehicle?
Yes. For customers looking to outsource their battery development, we can take ownership of the complete programme from initial concept and system definition through detailed design, validation and certification, all the way to production readiness.
Can you support for specific work packages or for defined period only?
Yes. When your internal team needs additional expertise or capacity, we can provide specialist engineers for a defined period or project phase. We can also support targeted engineering tasks or specific challenges.
What is your view on battery swapping?
We believe battery swapping has significant potential in some commercial vehicle applications and routes. Some suppliers we work with are actively investing and developing solutions for this, and we can support you on your swapping projects.
Can you help for low volume custom pack design?
Yes. We support battery programmes of all sizes, including low-volume battery pack projects. Whether you need assistance with a specific engineering task or a complete end-to-end battery development programme, we can tailor our level of support to your needs. If you already have a battery pack design, we also offer independent design reviews to identify potential risks and optimisation.
Can your designs meet the requirements for EU market?
Yes, we can engineer packs or support your team in the delivery of packs that fully meet relevant EU regulations. We can also support you to understand what are the OEM new responsibilities under the EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542). You can find out more here.
