MHEV – 48V LFP

A123Systems’s 48V LFP battery pack delivers exceptional power performance, with peak discharge capability exceeding 80C. Despite its high-power operation and multiple daily cycles, the pack achieves impressive cycle life without the need for liquid cooling.

JURA Engineering was involved from the beginning of the project, working with major European OEMs to define and capture the technical requirements for MHEV applications. We supported A123 Systems throughout pack development and vehicle integration, and later provided aftersales engineering support, including analysis of field issues and fleet monitoring.

BEV – 400V NCM & LFP

Vinfast grew very rapidly from an emerging startup to a Nasdaq-listed company, delivering almost 200k BEVs in 2025.

JURA’s director and engineering team have been involved with VinFast for several years, working closely with leading battery suppliers including CATL, Gotion, SVOLT and CALB to develop battery packs and integrate them into production vehicles at record speed. Several projects progressed from initial supplier nomination to full mass production in less than 12 months.

In total, more than 10 different battery packs for BEV passenger vehicles have been developed, covering capacities from 18 kWh to over 130 kWh and using both LFP and NCM chemistries.

Normally the validation will include performance, safety and durability tests following international standards such as ISO 19453-6, ISO 12405-4, UL2580, UN ECE R10/CISPR 25 (EMC), ECE r100, UN38.3, and specific customer test cases.
