Our white-label engineering service gives your business on-demand access to specialist technical expertise, exactly when you need it.

From early-stage concept work, mechanical and electrical design, to validation support and issue resolution, we act as an extension of your team helping you move faster and reduce risk.

Whether you need short-term overflow capacity, specific work packages support, or a trusted long-term partner, we plug right into your team to deliver expert and flexible support.

OEM Requirements and Standards

If your business requires updated processes, standards and requirement management for battery projects, we can provide the expertise to help you succeed.

We work alongside your team to define battery system and component requirements, establish robust engineering processes, develop documentation, and create validation and testing standards, building the foundations for successful EV programmes.

Process

01. Project requirements

Every successful project starts with understanding your objectives. We work closely with your team to understand your technical requirements, engineering challenges, timeline and budget, allowing us to develop a proposal tailored to your needs.

Whether you require support for a specific engineering activity, additional technical capacity, or a complete end-to-end battery development programme, we offer flexible engagement models to suit your needs.

Our focus is on giving you the ability to reduce development risk, accelerate programme delivery, and bring successful battery systems to market with confidence.

02. Battery design

We integrate seamlessly with your team to provide the support you need, when you need it. Our engineers provide specialist technical guidance, take ownership of agreed deliverables, and work collaboratively to ensure efficient project execution and successful delivery.

For end-to-end battery development programmes, we manage the project from initial design through to validated, production-ready battery packs. Following project approval, we work with your team to finalise supplier selection, complete the detailed design, oversee prototype build activities, and manage validation and certification testing. We ensure constant communication and alignment with your team at each step.

03. Mass production & Aftersales

Our support continues beyond validation and into production. We can help verify the battery pack manufacturing process, ensuring the production line is ready for a successful Start of Production (SOP), and provide ongoing support to ensure a smooth product launch.

We also help our customers build aftersales solutions that enable monitoring of battery performance using telematics and service data, transforming field data into actionable insights. Intelligent diagnostics and predictive analytics can identify emerging issues before they lead to failures, reducing warranty costs, minimising vehicle downtime and improving customer satisfaction.

Frequently Asked Questions FAQ

What type of support do you offer to OEMs and battery suppliers?

We provide OEMs and battery suppliers with specialist engineering support across the full battery development lifecycle. Our flexible engagement models are designed to give you access to the right expertise, exactly when you need it.

Can you support specific engineering work packages?

Yes, we can support targeted engineering tasks or specific challenges. For example, we can reduce cost or weight of existing design, optimise thermal design and control strategies, or resolving complex mechanical, electrical, BMS or integration issues.

Can you provide additional engineering capacity for a limited time?

Yes. When your internal team needs additional expertise or capacity, we can provide specialist engineers for a defined period or project phase. This could include battery mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, BMS software engineers, systems engineers, or other specialist resources.

Can you deal with a complete end-to-end battery development programme?

Yes. For customers looking to outsource their battery development, we can take ownership of the complete programme from initial concept and system definition through detailed design, validation and certification, all the way to production readiness.

Can you help for low volume custom pack design?

Yes. We support battery programmes of all sizes, including low-volume and custom battery pack development. Whether you need assistance with a specific engineering task or a complete end-to-end battery development programme, we can tailor our level of support to your needs. If you already have a battery pack design, we also offer independent design reviews to identify potential risks and optimisation.

Can your designs meet the requirements for EU market?

Yes, we can engineer packs or support your team in the delivery of packs that fully meet relevant EU regulations. We can also support you to understand what are the OEM new responsibilities under the EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542). You can find out more here.

What testing & certification are usually conducted?

The Design Validation (DV) and Production Validation (PV) scope will be agreed at the start of the project before nomination. Normally the validation will include performance, safety and durability tests following international standards such as ISO 19453-6, ISO 12405-4, UL2580, UN ECE R10/CISPR 25 (EMC), ECE r100, UN38.3, and specific customer test cases.
